What Does this Radiographic test Result Mean?

My radiographic findings today says - Hazed densities are seen in both upper lobes. -Heart is not enlarged. -There is mild dextroscoliosis of the thoracic spine. What does it mean? My doctor requested for my chest xray bcos the result of my biopsy after the minor operation in my right ear (aural polyp, right ear canal) 1. Tuberculosis 2. Cholesteatoma with foreign body type reaction. 3. Fungal infection The #s 2@3 were not related or the possible considerations so it s most likely the number 1... I am confused because he s already the 4th doctor whom i consulted.

Hi & Welcome.
Based on the chest x ray findings you seem to be suffering from infections like tuberculosis of the lung until proved otherwise. You need some additional tests like CBC, ESR, sputum for AFB to support the diagnosis and to take appropriate treatment for about 6 to 9 months after consulting a physician.

Dextroscoliosis means increased curvature of the vertebral column (spine) to the right. It is an abnormality that may be present since birth like muscular dystrophy or Marfan's syndrome but can develop later on in adults due diseases of the spine, trauma to the spine, or other neuromuscular diseases.

Cholesteatoma is an abnormal, noncancerous skin growth that can develop in the middle section of your ear, behind the eardrum. It may be a birth defect, but it’s most commonly caused by repeated middle ear infections or
poorly functioning eustachian tube.

It needs to be removed by surgical excision by ENT surgeon.

Hope these answer your queries.
